Ula's aim has always been to make clothes to fit New Zealand body shapes and we cut all our garments with this in mind. Our sizes are a good New Zealand fit and a bit on the generous side.

These days when you go into a store, it’s hard to know which size you're going to need at that particular shop and size can vary from brand to brand, so we've included sizing notes with each garment in the Online Store.

We design a lot of our garments to be a comfy, easy fit, across two or more sizes. This has a cool, built in effect because you can just throw a wee merino top underneath your new Ula garment - we make 'em that way. A lot of our prints are chosen with more than just one season in mind, so you can wear it your way.

Tips on how to measure for Tee shirt size

For your chest size, take measurements under armpits, around fullest part of chest and shoulder blades. Actually the easiest way to work out which is the size for you, is to measure off a tee shirt that already fits you well. Lay it down flat and measure under the arms across the front, then just double that measurement.

Not all designs are made in all sizes, and different brands differ slightly in fitting; so we have included useful notes on sizing with those garments in the online store.

How to measure waist size for Pants & Shorts

Measure around where you normally wear your pants, keeping the tape measure a bit loose or putting one finger between your body and the tape measure.
